The Wellington Civic Trust is running a Symposium soon, on the area around the Basin Reserve. When they get their act together, they will no doubt update their website to have more information on it – in the mean time, keep the 8th of August free.

I suspect there will be a fair bit of discussion about proposals such as this image above – of a proposed flyover to the inner city bypass. There will be a number of speakers and contributors, including representatives from the Transport Agency, the Council, and local Resident’s Associations. Local blog sites have covered this in the past with articles here and here. Expect more discussion and possibly more than a few fireworks. Plenty of opportunity for ‘public dialogue’.
