Debate! Debate! Debate!

Well OK, there’s only one debate – but it is coming up so sooooon!

Put on by the local branch of the Institute of Building, the topic is the somewhat un-nerving topic of:
“THAT WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL POLICY ON EARTHQUAKE PRONE BUILDINGS WILL WORK”

Hmmmm. Surely it will, won’t it? Is there any point in having a Earthquake proofing policy if it doesn’t work? Come along to the Big Red building on Vivian St on Tuesday 14 July at 5pm to hear the debate.
For the affirmative:
Arthur Park, Clendon Burns & Park Consulting Engineers
Steve Cody, Manager Building Compliance Wgtn City Council
Ian Athfield, Athfield Architects

and negating the motion:
Adam Thornton, Dunning Thornton Consulting Engineers
Jaesen Sumner, Ford Sumner Lawyers
Alison Pharaoh, Livingstones Property Management
